Edmondson, Arkansas Speed Traps

Town of 180- Bogus Speed Trap has already resulted in the DEATH of one innocent motorist. Continues on a daily basis.

Known as the most Bogus Speed Trap in Arkansas- Currently under investigation by Prosecuting Attorney.

I passed a pickup going 53 in a 55 mph area. Policeman said I didn’t need to pass the truck since it was so close to the max speed, so he gave me a ticket for my passing speed of 67 mph.
He admitted I passed correctly with turn signals. Never mind the truck had slowed several times causing me to want to get past it.
Truck pulled off onto side road just after I passed it, so he may have been part of a set up. Cost me $140. I didn’t consider fighting it because local court is surely in on the trap.

Although AR 147 runs thorough a miniscule portion of Edmondson’s jurisdiction, The local police routinely write tickets outside of the city limits.
