El Dorado, Arkansas Speed Traps

Directly coming from Camden going towards El Dorado just past the Frenchport Water Tower ( Cty rd #64). There is a big dip in the highway and usually daily there is an Arkansas State Trooper sitting at the bottom of the dip in the turn around lane that crosses the medium. He can catch you coming or going in either direction because of his location. This is an AM and PM rush hour set up.

Also heading into or out of El Dorado and the intersection of highway #7 and N. West Ave there is quite often an Arkansas State Trooper or a Union County Sheriff in the median. As the speed limit on the highway drops from 65 to 45 to offset the traffic entering and exiting the highway. Also to offset the traffic that turns to go to Norphlet area. This is an AM and PM rush hour setup.

Speed Limit drops to 45 mph from 55 mph south of US 82 bypass and resumes 55 mph north of bypass. Troopers may be in median or at Information Center or T’Ricks gas stop.
