Black Oak Road near Ed Edwards Road

Fayetteville, ArkansasSep 19, 20080 Comments

The speed limit drops from 50 to 35mph. The 35 mph sign is posted in the middle of a long straight stretch of highway. There are no hidden drives or hazardous conditions to justify it’s placement location. People don’t slow down because it just makes no sense for the sign to be in that particular location.

There is a dangerous curve further down the road, but it’s more than one hundred yards from the location of the 35 mph sign. There is a speed bump and several dangerous curve signs which are more than sufficient to notify people to slow down.

The police officer is hidden behind shrubs, so by the time you see him it’s too late to slow down.
