Grannis, Arkansas Speed Traps

Grannis is a small bump in the road south of Mena, AR. There are two Dodge Durango police vehicles and they hide everywhere: Behind signs, in used car lots and then right at the city limits which have been extended and aren’t really even close to the city.

Nice to see a small town who has officers on the job and doing what they get paid to do…..however, what they get paid to do is write tickets and they are very good at there job. Often an officer sits and hides south of town on the two lane and will appear out of nowhere. Also, don’t let the town’s population fool you. The city limits is miles north and south of anything resembling a town.

Very small town (pop. under 400) posted 35 mile per hour speed limit through the town. About 5-6 police who target out of state plates and anyone in the wee hours of the morning. Known for ignoring local speeders but coming down on out of state plates or anyone they don’t recognize.
