Parkin, Arkansas Speed Traps

I live in Parkin and Parkin Police do not know how 2 read a radar so they give you a ticket for careless driving it’s wrong it will cost you about $200.00 for the ticket and two keep it off of your record.

Be very careful of this area. I was given a ticket for going 55 in a 45 zone. I was not, and tried to reason with the officer. Forget it. It cost me $140 (went straight to the City of Parkin). I would advise slowing down to 35 or 40 long before you reach their 45 speed zone. They don’t seem to remember where their speed zones begin or end.

I think the Parkin police dept. has nothing better to do then to set on Hwy 64 and run radar. I am a truck driver I come through this town three or four times a week and there is never ( ever ) a time I have come through parkin and not seen the black colored police cars with someone stopped or sitting on the road side waiting on someone to stop. I have been stopped and the officer was not so nice said I was going 63-55 when I was going maybe 58-55 tops. but anyway I paid it I was told I could have fought it but that’s my loss. Maybe someone will read this and beware of the police officers in the town of Parkin, Arkansas

The cops in this town are rude. I come through here twice a day and I always see someone pulled over mostly in the afternoon and late at night. I have only been stopped once for 61 in a 55 and given a ticket for a city ord. The cop was rude to me I guess he thought he had stopped me before cause he said I was given a warning in the past. I think this a money maker for the town. The ticket didnt go on my record but still be careful when you come through Parkin!

Officer pulls you over and instead of issuing you a speeding tickets he writes it for violation of Ordinance 269. Apparently this goes directly to the City or Police Department.
