The RCMP watch this road fairly carefully at various times of the day. The KPH is 50, but realistically cars travel at 60K++ safely.

Eastbound on the freeway, there is a large hill with its base terminating just before the Mt. Lehamn Rd exit. Often there will be another officer near the top of the hill, likely alerting the next officer of oncoming speeding vehicles (have gotten radar from the first and not the second).

They usually park their police cars on a side road closer to Gladwin and do radar from there, but many times there are ghost cars, one blue and one white that drives up and down Downes Rd pulling people over left and right.
