In summer high holiday traffic, RCMP set up aerial surveilance around Kootenay Crossing, and do mass ticketing. Speed limit is 90 kph in Park, but road is designed for 120, and light traffic through the mtn. grades is easy to travel well in excess. You can usually spot the small planes through your sun roof.
