Anaheim Hills, California Speed Traps
LaPalma Avenue near Potomac Circle
LaPalma Ave parallels the notorious 91frwy and adjacent to the Yorba Regional Park. There are no stop signs for over 2 1/2 miles. The speed limit is 40mph; but many drivers exceed that due to the long stretch between stops. Motor officers set up in the entrance/exit driveways to the park and can write tickets all day long. They work in pairs(sneeky little devils).
Serano Boulevard near High Crest Street
They are motor cycle cops that usually back into the entrance of the gated communities so they can’t be seen. The speed limit is 40 miles per hour and the street is all down hill so you must ride your brake for a few miles. This street is large and wide and all the homes back up to it, so there are no front yards with children playing etc. The speed limit is way too slow and I see people getting tickets on a regular basis.
Riverdale Avenue near Torrens Street
Be aware driving on Riverdale between Lakeview and Tustin especially neer Riverdale elementary and Torrens st. Enforcement high when kids are out of school and rightly so to protect the kids.
E. Canyon Rim Road near Serrano Avenue
This road is lightly traveled, and the posted speed limit is 35MPH. Most drivers exceed the posted limit because of the generous street width, and the fact that you are driving both up and down a series of small hills. The police hide on the perpendicular residential streets and catch just about everyone driving in either direction.
Serrano Avenue near Canyon Rim Road
There is usually an Anaheim police using radar between Canyon Rim and Nohl Ranch on Serrano Ave. He’s usually hidden on the east side of Serrano just south of Canyon Rim near an entrance to a gated community. The speed limit is 40mph and I see someone pulled over almost every Saturday or Sunday. There is a long stretch of road with no stop lights or stop signs, it’s hard to not go over 40mph. Be careful and watch out!
