Beverly Hills, California Speed Traps
Sunset Boulevard near Arden Drive
This speedtrap is located at the end of an alley way after Arden Dr. but before Alta Dr. (basically between Arden and Alta). It is run by a BHPD motorcycle cop and has been going on for about a month, to my knowledge.
Sunset Boulevard near Doheny Drive
Saturday mornings, these two motor patrolmen sit on Sunset, just before Doheny, picking-off speeders. My suggestion is to keep your speed to a reasonable clip anywhere on SUnset through Beverly Hills.
Wilshire Boulevard near Whittier Street
There are signs coming from Westwood that the speed limit is 35, but traffic generally moves at 40 or 45. I caught myself approaching 50 and slowed down before a 30mph zone warning sign and was definitely at or below 30 in the 30, but got a 56 in a 30 from the cop. I’m fighting it tomoorow because more than 25 over the speed limit and you cannot do traffic school.
Sunset Boulevard near Whittier Drive
West of Whittier, right where Sunset curves, a SUV awaits in the darkness to roll out the red carpet to eastbound motorists entering Beverly Hills.
