State College and Imperial

Brea, CaliforniaMar 30, 20031 Comments

Brea is known for their overzealous police force. Motorcycle cops are very sneaky in this city. At the intersection of State College and Imperial they typically hide at the 76 station in the shade next to the gas pumps at the southeast corner of the intersection waiting to pick off drivers making illegal turns, but also nab cars with equipment violations. Sometimes the motos will hide behind the wall on the northeast corner so that westbound Imperial traffic cannot see them. They are usually present in groups of 3, although sometimes a solo cop will be present. They are out there especially at noon and at rush hour, but have frequented at all times of the day. Friday and Saturday nights are also moneymakers. Watch out especially toward the end of the month!

Motor usually sits along north side of roadway at Claim Jumper parking lot, blends in with parking lot shrubbery; typically works westbound traffic (drivers looking into sun); this driveway is steps beyond the SR-57 overpass. No breaks with this guy!
