Brea, California Speed Traps
US Highway Imperial near Brea Boulevard
Motorcycle police constantly monitor Imperial Highway, for traffic traveling North, between Brea Blvd. & State College. The speed limit is 35. The radar cop sits right behind the big red barn looking tea house, just a few feet back from the sidewalk. Because this is a highway, most people think the speed is about 40-50 mph, but because there is a school between these two cross streets on Imperial Hwy, the speed is reduced to 35. The officer just sits there all day, making a loop, pulling people over. I live in the neighborhood, and see him there everyday! He hasn’t got me yet, but so many people speed on this particular hwy, and most are just going with the flow.
