Brea Boulevard near Bastanchury Road

Going west on Brea Blvd passing Bastanchury Rd, a motorcycle cop usually sits at any given driveway or side street, pointing his laser gun out in traffic. No tolerance, stay at 45 mph!

State Highway Imperia near At Brea Blvd. Right before the Taps restaurant

Brea, CaliforniaMay 09, 20050 Comments

Westbound on Imperial Hwy, just before you hit Brea Blvd. There is a small side street with a large tree, where one or two motorcycle cops sit with a laser gun. I drive past everyday on the way to work, and my radar/lidar detector goes off every day.

Carbon Canyon Road near Valencia Avenue

Brea, CaliforniaApr 13, 20050 Comments

Brea cruiser hides under the cover of darkness just east of Valencia with instant-on K-band radar. Took a direct hit and shed my speed 20% to just under the limit. He proceeded to hit me 3 more times with his radar as I passed him. Mind you, this was after midnight. I’ve seen motors (with LIDAR) also work this stretch in daylight. Speed limit is an unrealistic 45 for a very wide thoroughfare, especially after hours.

US Highway 90 Imperial Highway near South Flower Avenue

Brea, CaliforniaAug 17, 20040 Comments

As you are travelling westbound on Imperial Highway Through the city, you pass South Poplar Avenue and the highway goes up a hill. In other areas of the same commercial likeness in the city, the speed limit is 40 mph, but here, the limit is 35. As you reach the crest of the hill, you are approaching South Flower Avenue, and running alongside of Laurel Elementary. The front entrance of the school is actually on Flower Ave, But during this course of the highway, there are no apparent places for a motor to hide. But the motor (multiple at times) likes to park at the entance of the school on the sidewalk, and as vehicles that are coming over the crest of the hill approach, he guns them. You really dont see him, as he is in the shade of a large willow tree and behind the sign for the school. It is such a long unobstructed stretch that it makes it weasy for him to gun you a long ways off, and by the time you actually see him, he’s already put his gun away, started the bike and pulled out in the street.

Lambert Road near Tamarak Avenue

Brea, CaliforniaMar 21, 20040 Comments

Motorcyclist sits at the intersection of Tamarak avenue or therabouts and Lambert waiting for persons heading east or west coming over the tops of each opposing hill.
Policeman is not too happy with his job either.
