Sellers Ave & Sunset Rd

Brentwood, CaliforniaDec 15, 20080 Comments

Brentwood Police, CHP, and CC Sheriff’s Dept all sit near or on Sellers Ave and Sunset Rd during afternoon commute hours. I’m not sure about radar, but there are signs that say that radar is used. Stay under 50 MPH, because 55 will get you a ticket.

Brentwood Bypass

Brentwood, CaliforniaSep 08, 20080 Comments

This is a short bypass of approximately 5 miles. However, there are six turnouts for law enforcement and 4 traffic cams. Speed limit from Brentwood is 55 mph but about a mile west, it becomes 65 mph. California Highway Patrol regularly monitors this small section of freeway using radar (not sure what kind, however). On some days there are at least 3 patrol cars in the area. The wise driver watches the speed limit signs both ways since it is easy to miss them and find oneself in a lower speed limit zone making it easy for traffic enforcement officers to pull one over.

POS hides behind a tree on Holway Dr on his motorcycle.
Speed limit on the main stretch is 45MPH but drops down to 25MPH for tax revenue generation. Total scam.

Barrington Avenue near Montana Avenue

Brentwood, CaliforniaFeb 12, 20080 Comments

Motorcycle cop sits on the east bound side of Barrington Ave., and the corner of TerryHill Pl. I used to live in the condo on that corner. Perfect position as he’s pointing the radar gun at cars barreling up Barrington Ave. From Montana Ave, there are no more stop lights until Sunset Blvd, so there’s room to move and you can easily hit 50mph in a 35mph zone. Also patrol car will sit just around the corner of Montana and Barrington Aves. catching cars that turn right on Red when that corner has a sign that says "No Right On Red."
