Orangethorpe Avenue near Between Magnolia ave. and Beach Boulevard
If you are traveling either East or West, there’s a large hill on Orangethorpe in the city of buena park. It’s between beach blvd. and magnolia ave. Radar motorcycle’s on each side of the hill giving tickets all night and day.It’s hard to slow down below the posted 40mph going down either side.
Beach Boulevard near Rosecrans Avenue
South bound Beach from Rosecrans to La Mirada Blvd. Motorcycle or patrol car sits back in driveways of apartment complexes on right side of this long straightaway. Posted 45 but a fast, wide uncongested 3 lane section.
Beach Boulevard near Artesia Street
Northbound Beach Blvd, approx 1/2 mile long area of high enforcement from McDonalds at Beach @ Artesia up to Jack in the Box just before Beach @ Malvern. Motorcycle sits off right side either at Amway HQ Building or entrance to shopping center just after Jack in the Box. Posted 35 all the way. Changes to 45 just after zone.
Beach Boulevard near La Palma Avenue
Cycle cop sits in a driveway of one of the motels north of La Palma watching NB traffic. Beach Blvd. is posted 45 mph until LaPalma where it drops to 40. Keep in mind that Beach is a State Hwy (39) and it can be shown that it is an illegal speed trap per CVC.
Beach Bl at Durango
Motorcycle hides in the dark and works southbound traffic. Since there are relatively few cars late at night (around 11:30PM), it’s VERY easy to go over the limit (45).
