Burbank, California Speed Traps
N. Hollywood Way and Alameda
Driving northbound on Hollywood way there are motorcycle cops at least once every week, usually on tuesdays, pulling people over in between Alameda and Verdugo. They hide in between the parked cars. I know. they park accross from where I live. I just watch them.
100 East Verdugo and San Fernando
Police motorcycle hiding behind wall of Angelenos Liquor store
Between Main & Buena Vista on Alameda.
The stretch between Main & Alameda is a long on. The lights are normally green. 2 motor officers normally sit half way catching traffic going both directions.
Empire Ave. between Hollywood Way and Clybourn Ave.
The area is a posted 35 mph zone with no traffic signals, making it a good place to go really fast in a straight line. Only problems are the big rigs and delivery trucks that go to the airport and FedEx building. Burbank PD, Airport PD, CHP and LAPD have been seen driving through this area. Just obey the speed limit and don’t bother looking for them, because they see you before you see them.
On Olive Ave. Between Buena Vista St. and Alameda Ave.
From time to time this trap is setup to ticket people who do not stop for people jay-walking across the street mid block near Foto-Kem. An undercover police officer will wait for traffic to approach and then will start crossing the street. There are usually 4 motor officers waiting down near the old Chadney’s Restaurant to pull over any motorists that swerved around the decoy without stopping, or keep him pinned in the center divider.
