US Highway 89 near US Highway 299
US Hwy 89 north of US Hwy 299 is 65 MPH. South of US Hwy 299 it drops to 55 MPH down to State Hwy 44 then up Hwy 44 to the top of the hill where it goes back to 65MPH. The highway is relatively strait with only a very short stretch when it goes through the small hamlet of Hat Creek.
