Byron, California Speed Traps

Two lane highway drops from 50 mph to 35 mph heading southbound from Hwy 4, near Excelsior Middle School. Speed limit is strictly enforced and a 10 mph violation results in a $237 ticket. If going more than 15 mph over the court will suspend your license. The CHP got me here once several years ago in an unmarked unit, just past the speed limit drop. The rural setting makes it easy to miss if you are unfamiliar with the area and not careful. Also passes through a school zone, they can ding you on that as well.
