W. Ventura Boulevard near Factory Stores Drive

Camarillo, CaliforniaSep 05, 20070 Comments

One of the most heavily ticketed areas of Camarillo, this trap is on W.Ventura Blvd., the frontage road parallel to the 101 Freeway that people have to take to get to the Camarillo Factory Outlet Center. Motorcycle sheriffs will sit obscured by trees in front of Factory Outlet entrance and pick off cars all day, mostly cars travelling westbound. Speed limit changes unrealistically from 45 to 35 before you can blink an eye. I work less than a mile from here and almost every day at lunchtime I will see cars getting pulled over here. There is no place to pull over on the frontage road so the cop will generally have to follow you for 1/5th of a mile and pull you over in an adjacent shopping center at 101 Freeway and Las Posas Ave. near a Target and a Shell station, and write you up in front of a cast of thousands. No mercy here. Brutal.

Upland Road near Paseo Noche Street

Camarillo, CaliforniaSep 02, 20070 Comments

During heavy morning travel times, (7am to 9am) there is a motorcycle deputy parked at the intersection of Upland and Paseo Noche. As one travels south toward Santa Rosa, watch your speed! This is a 45 mph zone, watch downhill speed! I’ve seen many get nabbed here.

Temple Avenue near Lewis Avenue

Located by a school, police are on anyone who goes over 25 mph and does not obey every single bus law including the blinking red lights. They "eye" where you are at because the street goes from a 45 to a 25-35 depending on the time of day

Mission Drive near Las Posas Road

Camarillo, CaliforniaAug 02, 20070 Comments

Bike Cop sits near school sign to ensure a double fine. Speed limit is 25 down the entire street. Tags anyone over 35.This street gets a lot of attention on weekend nights too because of the stop sign in the middle that everyone ignores. Please be careful in this neighborhood or else you will walk away with a double fine (or be in jail on a weekend night).
