Ceres, California Speed Traps

After 7am (Mon-Fri) anywhere along Whitmore between Mitchell and Central Moto’s are writing many many speeding tickets this is a 35 mh posted area with drivers routinely going 50-60 mph in this highly congested area that has many intersections, driveways and pedestrian crosswalks. I have as much of a lead foot as anyone and don’t like the idea of radar cops but speeding here is really dangerous. I have a business along Whitmore and see terrible accidents on a routine basis. Slow down the life and or car you save may be your own!

A pair of Ceres motorcycle officers use K band hand held radar guns on Mitchell Road as you enter Ceres from Highway 99. I’ve observed them shooting in both directions on Mitchell between 7-8 am during the week. The speed limit is 45 mph, but traffic is sometimes flowing at 55-60 mph.
