Orangethorpe (E bound) before Walker and 91 FWY

Cerritos, CaliforniaMar 31, 20100 Comments

La Palma cops wait in the median (in front of ADT-normally facing E bound, but sometimes W too), usually motorcycle and patrol car, sometimes up to 3 cops, (2 patrol cars & motorcycle). They pop people speeding over the bridge (E bound towards 91 Fwy), but sometimes going towards bridge (W bound).

They also wait for a school bus that travels east bound every day around 7:45 a.m. that makes 2 stops prior to the 91. They trail the bus or wait in median to catch people that do not head to the flashing red lights when the bus makes its stops. Cops are out busting people Mon-Fri like clock work. Seems to be patroled heavier during the middle of month.

Have seen 3 people pulled over up and down that street at same time by different cops!

Carmenita Road near 183rd Street

Cerritos, CaliforniaAug 01, 20080 Comments

Going southbound on Carmenita just past 183rd street, driving on the bridge that goes over the 91 freeway. Just after the offramp at the bottom of the bridge, a motorcycle cop will be waiting on the side of the road under a tree trying to radar people. The schedule seems random but he does seem to be there around the 9-10AM. Be careful not to speed when going up the bridge!

Shoemaker Avenue near South Street

Cerritos, CaliforniaOct 26, 20070 Comments

Motorcycle always sitting either on Shoemaker or one of the two side streets next to Leal Elementary school between South St and 183rd St. There’s someone pulled over there at least every couple of days when I roll through.
