Coachella, California Speed Traps

After passing the Dillon Rd exit going eastbound, the I-10 has about a mile long straight-away before going up the Indio grade out into the open desert. It is very tempting to push high speeds on the stretch before you get to the hill, but very often a CHP cruiser sits in the median right before the grade starts, nailing people using Ka radar going both directions! Also for travellers going west down the grade from Chiriaco Summit down into the Coachella Valley, beware! At any given point going down the hill a CHP cruiser will sit on the side with Ka radar blasting to nab speeders going down the hill!
