Gerhart and Ferguson

Not a speed trap, but watch out for the school bus. When the red lights on the school bus are flashing, make sure you stop and wait until the flashing light are gone. An officer is there waiting almost every morning.

Ferguson Drive near S. Gerhart Avenue

Commerce, CaliforniaJan 24, 20080 Comments

A City of Commerce Sherrif sits lays in wait in a car on Gerhart, either just South or North of Ferguson Drive. (Southbound is just 1 block and a dead end- a favorite of theres). The big culprit: rolling stops and maybe going 1 mile over the speed limit. Never have I seen or even heard of an accident on that quiet intersection and I go there pretty often, but no matter- there they are at various times in various waves. Watch Out!

Triggs Street near South McDonnell Avenue

Commerce, CaliforniaNov 02, 20070 Comments

Every other day, early in the morning, around 7am to 10am. Two officers stand at the corner of triggs and mcdonnell with a laser gun; pulling drivers over and giving tickets to a lot of drivers. Stay below 25mph, even if you go 5 miles over they will get you anyway. They got me twice, on two consecutive days!

Washington Boulevard near Oak Street

Commerce, CaliforniaOct 11, 20070 Comments

Between cross streets Oak Street and Downey Road, Washington bisects the BNSF and UP railyards. Has LA County Sheriff radar enforcement either direction. There are a lot of blind curves and local heavy semi-truck traffic which will block your view of enforcement.

Gage Avenue near Slauson Avenue

Especially In A.m And Pm Rush Hours! Gage Ave From Slauson turn To EasternAve! Multiple Motorcycle officers with radar guns in hand. They enforce the speed limit and even Tinted Windows. This long stretch from Slauson to Chalet is a Major Hot Spot! So Watch The Speed It Changes Along This Route…
