Cupertino, California Speed Traps
Cop car parks on Stelling Road next to Orion Lane to catch people speeding down Stelling and watch the stop sign. They also park a couple streets over on Huntridge Lane to watch for speeding and rolling stops.
A motorcycle cop waits in the parking lots of private businesses along the part of Bubb Road between McClellan and Stevens Creek which is wide and very easy to speed on. Police car also waits at the gas station on Bubb and Stevens Creek to catch speeders and red light violators.
December 19th, 2005, The cops were testing out a new handheld radar gun. He was standing a few streets west of Lawerence Expressway with his gun and behind him in a side street were 3 motorcycle bikes. He just stood out onto Bollinger facing the Eastbound traffic and was picking people off one by one.
This is similar to the cop by Stelling and Bollinger.
They did not start this until about a year and a half ago, and they have lightened up a little. On Bollinger, between Miller Avenue and De Anza Boulevard, I have numerous motorcycle police, the "famous one" everyone knows around here. He will typically station in one of the driveways on the southside between Blaney and De Anza.
Going southbound on Stelling towards De Anza College. Motorcycle cop camping out there. Speed limit 30 mph… I got busted for going 45.
