Downey, California Speed Traps

Speed Trap is located when you are going east bound on Imperial hwy after you pass Curtis and King Rd, when go over the River Bedd pass toward woodruff. A motor cycle officer sit at the Casa Rio Apartment on the right corner of the street sign of the Apartment with his Radar.

A motorcycle cop likes to sit right on the corner of 3rd street and Rives, he will hide behind a parked car, and point his gun at cars driving down 3rd, coming from Paramount Blvd. He ticketed me once about 2 years ago, and I see him there all the time.

Firestone Blvd East bound right before turning onto Rosecrans (the 5 Freeway SB on ramp on left) are some tall pine trees on the right side of street. Most afternoons you wont see the motorcycle cop sitting in the shade with a radar gun. (Somebody should tell those guys not to rest those things in their lap)

Just as you go under the bridge towards Rives there is a motor cycle cop parked by the Federdal Credit Union on the right hand side of the street with a radar gun. He’s usually parked there during morning traffic.

Uniformed police officer sits on Motorcycle in car dealership North side of Firestone Blvd. Many are caught coming off freeway we forget to slow down.
