Motorcycle cops sit hidden up the driveways to Balboa park on the west, or Lake Balboa on the east between Burbank Blvd. and Victory Blvd. They use radar to snag speeders.

LAPD Motorcycle Traffic officers routinely park under shade trees and attempt to conceal themselves behind parked cars on the east side of Balboa or in the parking lots on the west side of Balboa. Enforcement is intense and random – do not exceed the limit unless you have radar and other vehicles in Front of you!

Going southbound on Balboa Blvd heading towards Ventura Blvd there is a cop who is usually in a police car parked right at the corner of Addison and Balboa. She/he is usually out on a daily bsis in the mid to late morning. You’ve been warned! Don’t make the same mistake I did!

Motorcycle cops are hiding and waiting for cars to roll through stop signs. Other traps in Encino are Balina onto Balina Canyon and along Hayvenhurst St going south to Mulholland. Motorcycle cops are around during morning rush hour.
