Fairfield, California Speed Traps
Air base prkwy
There is a small turn into a junkyard before Peabody rd. usually 2 polics motorcycles sit in the turn lane for the junkyard hidden by trees and use a radar for upcoming traffic.
Waterman Blvd.
There is a hill on Waterman that Fairfield Police like to hide behind. Often, they will sit in the middle lane pointing the gun at the top of the hill, nailing people as they come over. They’re not out there every day, but it seems like at least twice a week. When they’re out there though, there’s 2-3 of them working about 300 yards from each other covering the entire boulevard. The posted speed limit is 35 mph, traffic typically moves closer to 45 mph. I got a ticket once for 59 mph (okay, that was my fault) and another for 44 mph. I take the freeway now.
I-80 American Canyon Exit
This part of I-80 is curvy up and down the hills in the valley; however, there is an about one-mile-long downhill slope after I-80, it’s very easy to go over the speed limit here. CHP cars often wait at the road side and randomly pull over vehicles. According to one officer who pulled me over for 22349(a), you are just "unlucky," quote, if you got pulled over in that area. Be careful.
