Heading east or west on Highway 50, cops will sit on the onramp and radar as you go under Prarie city Rd. Sometimes they radar as you pass or as you are approahing.

Santa Juanita Ave north of Oak Ave

Folsom, CaliforniaApr 10, 20100 Comments

There’s a church of Latter Day Saints about 1/2 mile north of Oak Ave. The police car parks in the south parking lot. Going over a slight rise, you don’t really see the car until it’s too late. It’s posted as a 25 MPH road. Usually anything over 30 will get you flagged.

Empire Ranch Road and Broadstone Pkwy

Folsom, CaliforniaMar 13, 20100 Comments

Officer located on the side street opposite Broadstone looking for stop sign violators. Both roads are downhill at this intersection making ‘roll throughs’ common. Speeders beware of trap 1/2 mile North of this intersection also on Empire Ranch. They sit in a turnout just south of Natoma and are difficult to see due to median landscape.

American River Canyon Dr. & Water View Way

Folsom, CaliforniaFeb 08, 20100 Comments

I never got nailed at this stop, but there is a cop parked on the north side of Water View Way waiting for people to run or roll through this three way stop. The two stop signs on Am. River Cnyn. Dr. are on a bend in the road. The stop signs cannot be seen until you go around the bend. This is generally a quiet huge 5 lane road (one for turning) which can lull you into a false sense of complacency. When you come up to this stop and look over at Water View Way, which dead ends into Am. River Cnyn. Dr., a cop car is Always there. I swear this officer must have made his career writing tickets only at this intersection. Always make a complete stop here! There is also a tricky two-way(south traffic does not stop) stop at a similar intersection at the north end of Am. River Cnyn. Dr. & River Ridge Way, which arises at the top of a hill before you reach Oak Avenue Pkwy. Stop sign comes out of nowhere heading north, and is a good trap for tickets too.
