Fremont, California Speed Traps
Paseo Padre Parkway near Thornton Avenue
Paseo Padre Parkway is 4 lanes wide, sometimes 6, with a 35 MPH limit. North of Thornton Ave the road widens with a river on the northbound side. The cops like to hide out on the southbound side. Excessivly low speed limit.
Paseo Padre Parkway near Deep Creek Road
Coming off the Dumbarton Bridge onto Paseo Padre just before coming down the RR overpass the speed limit drops to 35mph. It is not uncommon to have one or two motorcycle officers pointing their radar guns uphill catching downhill speedsters. They are parked next to the mail box in one of the drive-ways in the small mall.
Paseo Padre Boulevard near North of Durham Road
Wide high quality road, easy to travel at 50 mph. 30 mph is posted and enforced. Large hill heading South, coasting down the hill causes speeds > 40mph.
Stevenson Boulevard near Blacow Road
There is a red light camera installed on that intersection.
Eggers Drive near Fremont Boulevard
There’s a black and white chillin in an abandoned drive way on Eggers Drive – located between Fremont Blvd and Paseo Padre. The cop is looking for speeders and those who don’t stop at that ridiculous STOP sign.
