Fremont, California Speed Traps
State Highway 880 near N & S bound between Auto mall and Decoto Blvd
Fremont Sheriff cars and motorbikes are active night and day. Speed limit is 65mph
Mission Boulevard near Niles Boulevard
Motorcycle cops have been camping out in the church parking lot on Mission between Mowry and Niles Boulevard, waiting for someone to make a right turn from Niles onto Mission on a red light. This used to be legal, but a few months ago the City of Fremont put up a sign disallowing this. People who are not used to this will be in for a surprise. There was a festival recently in Niles (on a Sunday), and two motorcycle cops were herding scofflaws into the parking lot like cattle. I think they balanced the budget on this one operation only.
Osgood Road near Driscoll Road
Just South of the corner of Osgood and Durham, a motorcycle cop may hide in an industrial parking lot. When i got pulled over, i got cited for breaking a city code, not a traffic law and got a small fine that doesnt go on my driving record. Dont count on that being always the case though.
Instant handheld radar(detector wont work)
