Galt, California Speed Traps

I live on this street and see people get pulled over daily for speeding and not fully stopping at the stop signs. This often occurs late at night and it’s annoying to have the lights flashing by my bedroom window. So slooooow down and completely stop at all signs in Galt. I have been nearly killed numerous times by people rolling through those stop signs!

As you are going south on Stockton Blvd, between Walnut and Ayers the speed limit is 40, as soon as you go south of Ayers on Stockton, the speed limit goes to 40 mph. It is reasonable as this is a residential area, however it is easy to speed and trust me, Galt pd Will get you if you are not careful!

Most of 99 is underposted at 65, but in most places it’s not enforced. This town in southern Sacramento County is an exception. If you go this way to avoid the heavy commute traffic on I-5, keep your eyes open. There is a strip of trees along each side of the highway, which allows the local cops to sit in partial cover on the frontage roads.
