State Highway 101 near Just north of Monterey Road & Railway Overcrossing
The nearby CHP office apparently has new CHP officers practice radar techniques on Hwy 101 northbound, just after the bridges for Monterey Road and the railway overcrossing. The Hwy forms a long hill, and just past the last bridge in the median it’s nearly impossible to see a person standing there until you’re passing them.
US Highway 101 near Cochrane Road
One or more CHP cruiser units working in concert with a spotter airplane. Works both Northbound and Southbound directions of this stretch of US 101 near Gilroy, CA.
3rd Street near Wren Street
Since 3rd street happens to have the posted speed limit 30mph as opposed to the normal 35mph around town, cops love waiting on the sides of the street in hopes of finding someone going 40 or more. Sometimes you can see them sticking the radar gun out the side window pointing it backwards. This is the wide area of 3rd street before you hit wren and the nearby school.
