Glendale, California Speed Traps
Kenneth Road near Grandview Avenue
Any of the streets cutting Kenneth rd between Gradview and Highland are fair game for these Motorcycle cops. They Park their bikes on the side streets pointing the radar gun at traffic on Kenneth.
La Canada Avenue near Paloma Avenue
At La Canada and Paloma is Freemont Elementary. Most south bound traffic on La Canada is in excess of the 40 MPH posted because it is downhill. Motorcycle enforcement is most common in the morning and when you see 4 motor officers parked with radar out, it is a hint and a half. Between the school and people hitting the guardrails, I can see why they are there.
Verdugo Road near fern Avenue
North On Verdugo Road past Glendale College there is a elementary school and the spped limit is 25mph. And they MEAN IT. Then after the school the spped limit is 35mph. This is where they get you… Its a broad street and 50mph feels normal.. Stay at 35 – 40 till at least Glorietta
Glenoaks Boulevard near Highland Avenue
Police work in pairs. One sits in center divider and calls out speeds to chase car. They do this in the evening when it’s hard to spot them. Now they are using the helicopter to pace people and call that down to ground units. This takes place from Kenilworth to Highland.
Canada Boulevard near Colina Street
Cop parks near the back of the fire station or sometimes up the street with a radar.
