Hollister Avenue

Goleta, CaliforniaOct 09, 20090 Comments

Law enforcement monitors traffic at a number of spots on Hollister Ave. First, they like to sit between Kellogg and Fairveiw on Hollister. That part is under construction and speed is 25 instead of 45. Also, several motorcycle cops are in the intersection of Hollister Ave. & Glenn Annie by the four way.

Cathedral Oaks Avenue near Carlo Drive

Near Goleta Valley Jr. High School. 40mph is dropped to 25mph- Motorcyle cops hidden in between parked cars in short stretch where driveways are.

Hollister Boulevard near Winchester Canyon

Motocycle Cops sit on opposite sides of street near the Elementry School when the 25 MPH is in effect, which is poorly marked and posted blocks before the school going north on Hollister. It’s a trap since the lane narrows without any indicators until you are on top of it. You have to speed up to avoid an accident and that’s when they get you! Beware, these cops love giving tickets even if you speed up to avoid and accident they don’t care!

Patterson Avenue near Interstate 101

From the 101 Freeway, heading East on Patterson (towards the mountains) they love to hide around that turn (where the church is) It’s an easy place to go fast and not too far from the station.

Hollister Avenue near Fairview Avenue

While driving through Old Town Goleta on Hollister Watch Out! That’s not the best part of town and I have been pulled over So many times (no tickets) for nothing! The speed limit is 25 from Fairview to Ward Drive and they are watching. Mainly they are looking for speeders and drunk drivers.
