Ridge Road near Woodcrest Way
As you pass the Nevada Union High School on the left Ridge Road descends to Morgan Ranch Road. At the high school it is posted "25 mph when children" are present, but even if there are no students visible anywhere near Ridge Road they enforce the limit and it’s difficult to hold your speed 25 mph or under as you go down the hill. That’s where the motorcylce cop is waiting, down the hill going toward Morgan Ranch Rd. You won’t see him until he’s clocked you with his radar.
State Highway 49 near Lime Kiln Road
CHP has taken to enforcing 55 on highway 49 with as many as 6 cars suv types and others. They work from Mcknight road to Combie road usually r hiding in small roads heavily follaged. Usual time is daytime 7am after shift change thru to about 4pm. Usual set up areas are just beyond Alta Sierra traffic light and around the bend about 1/4 mile after Lime Kiln Road.
