Hanford, California Speed Traps
Neville Street near 11th Avenue
That darn motorcycle cop will sit on Neville ((RIGHT next to 11th Ave)) across the street from Savemart. He love to sit there and get people almost everyday. He is most commonly there during the high school lunch hour.
Rodgers Road near 11th Avenue
There are Two Traps along this little strech of Rodgers Rd (between where Florinda becomes Rodgers – i.e. light at Woodrow Wilson Jr. High & YMCA). The speed limit is 35 mph. The 1st is where Hanford Motorcycle PD sit behind a bush in the church parking lot. The 2nd is where Hanford (Car) PD sit under a tree on Rodgers Rd-but in a Cul-de-Sac (All Cul-de-Sac’s are on the West side).
10th Avenue near 2nd Street
HPD can be found at the entrances to the Kings County Fairgrounds. Difficult to see from both North and South.
3rd Street near Green Street
During summer months, HPD on motorcycles are a regular sight, more so in the mornings but can be found any time of day. Enforcement is reduced during the winter but patrol cars can still be found on occasion.
Grangeville Avenue near 12th Avenue
Hanford Police use radar to catch people as they travel eastbound on Grangeville, between 11th and 12th. The speed limit drops, right as you enter into the city limits. Although their services could be better used in town, they like this "cherry patch" to catch speeders!
