Hayward, California Speed Traps
Mission and Mattox
They are working in teams, sometimes it is 2 Alameda County sherrifs on motorcycles and sometimes it’s the CHP. Be careful coming down Mattox to Mission as the sit and wait for you with a radar gun at the bottom of the hill. They are also hiding between cars and businesses on Mission
880 Northbound at Industrial overpass
At the Industrial overpass on 880 Northbound there’s a CHP who hangs out & hides behind the wall of the overpass right before the Industrial on ramp. You cant see him from the freeway but he has a good view of speeders flying by and he always has his radar gun out. The only place you can see him from is the Industrial on ramp as your sitting at the metering lights waiting to get on the freeway.
Depot Rd and Connecticut Street
Motorcycle cops, I’ve seen two at a time. Will use their Radar Guns checking for speeders heading West on Depot. They have the perfect hide parking out of view on Connecticut Street. Mainly in the morning.
Soto Road
Speed limit is 25; lots of accidents on Soto so radar officers will be present sporatically in two different spots on Soto between Harder & Orchard.
Carlos Bee Boulevard
Right after passing the Cal State East Bay parking lot (on your right), the police officer waits in the entrance to residential dorms. The speed limit changes to 30 MPH right before this point. You can’t see the police car until you pass it.
