Team of 4 LAPD motos hide along the businesses east of Highland. They’re especially active and highly aggressive on Friday and Saturday nights (same group on Sunset at the other speed trap on Poinsettia). These guys appear to pick off drivers for speeding, missing front plates, and any equipment violations. They are also very fond of going after out-of-state drivers.

This is especially true on Friday and Saturday nights. You will ALWAYS find a team of LAPD/CHP motorcycle officers waiting to nab unsuspecting drivers for just about anything. They typically work westbound but have been seen pulling people over in both directions. The Wendy’s nearby is another hot spot.

Melrose Avenue b/w La Brea and Fairfax

Motorcycle cops regularly patrol this stretch of Melrose Avenue, especially weekend nights. They are notorious for giving tickets for speeding, not stopping for pedestrians, and especially for not having a front license plate.
