Irvine, California Speed Traps
Walnut Ave before Heritage Plaza and after Irvine high
Motorcycle cops love hiding in the center divider and radaring people during irvine high school’s lunch period. They always get someone.
Irvine Center Drive, between Valley Oak and Sand Canyon
Going towards Sand Canyon. Stopped police car often parked on the side of the road during rush hours, waiting to catch people late for work. There is nothing dangerous at all in this area, no school, no company, no pedestrian crossing, it’s purely to make money, like most of the speed traps in irvine.
Jeffrey Road, between Walnut and Irvine Center Drive
Now that there is a tunnel to go under the railway, it’s easy to speed up as you go out of the tunnel, and that’s where motorcycle cops are waiting with laser radars. Especially during rush hours and evening too. They typically have 3 motorcycle waiting, because no one goes as slow as posted, and they must make lots of revenue in this place.
Culver and Michelson
After work around 5 pm Motorcycle Cups hiding and catching people for any single mistake, going back and forward between the traffic lights Culver&Michelson and Culver & San Leandro at Irvine. Please be aware …
Culver and Harvard
There is a 25 mph on one side and 45 mph on the exact opposite side of the street (same location). More interestingly, the 25 mph is for the senior citizens but increases to 45 mph near the senior citizen residence. The when you get to University it is 50 mph. In less than half a mile the speed changes 3 times in the same street.
