Irvine, California Speed Traps
Culver Drive between Walnut and Irvine Center Drive
right as you go under the railroad bridge going towards Irvine Center Drive a motorcycle cop sits off to the right side on the bike path.
Walnut just north of Jeffrey
A motorcycle cop parks on the right hand side in the small townhome complex just after the curve before Weinerschnitzel. The cop is usually there between 7am – 8:30am to catch people on the way to the freeway.
Business Center Drive near Dupont
There is Irvine police constantly patrolling down this little dead end street, they sit in front of the stop sign and issue tickets all day long
Culver Dr. between Walnut Ave. and Culver Plaza
If you are going towards I-405 down Culver, after you pass Walnut Ave. there is railroad bridge down the hill and a motorcycle cop hides behind the bridge in the bicycle hike road. Watch out they use lidar. The cop clocked me going 76mph in 50. Don’t make the same mistake — watch out for the po po.
Toll Road 241 S/B Downhill after Toll Booth
After passing the toll booth going downhill south bound on 241, the hwy bends little to the right. Just after the bend, a CHP cruiser is parked and you can’t see it as you are coming down the hill. By the time you see the cop, you are already zapped. I see at least one a week whenever I pass that point in early morning (6-7 AM). Move over to the right lane, slow down and let the guy behind pass you.
