La Mesa, California Speed Traps
Cops park in driveway on Tropico Dr. where it meets Camino Paz I live next door to driveway owner and have seen lots of tickets for speeding. Posted speed is 25. You have to ride the brakes to stay at 25 coming down the hill.
La Mesa Police motor patrol or cruiser hang out in center median clocking drivers as they drive down Lake Murray Blvd. toward I-8. They nail the drivers as they come around the bend as most are usually exceeding posted 35 speed limit.
There is ALWAYS a cop hiding on the 125 north in la mesa, just north of the 8. between the Fletcher Parkway exit and the Grossmont College Exit there is always a CHP.
Both directions of SR 125 near Grossmont College are enforced daily. I’ve come up on the motorcycle cops doing 70mph and have not been pulled over, the speed limit is 65mph. Now I drive the speedlimit on the 125, but they always have someone pulled over…
CHP sits in driveways on both sides of Tropico, about 50 yards East of Bancro Fort The officer is targeting cars going West on Tropico going down hill. You have to stay on brakes to maintain 25mph posted limit. I think it is where they get their daily radar quota!
