La Puente, California Speed Traps
Main St. (From Hillcrest Dr. to Bamboo St.)
There is a bike cop there on most days usually hiding behind a parked car. Most times he’s parked below the hill and by the time you see him it’s going to be too late since you are rolling downhill. This guy is very sneaky and has pulled me over a couple of times. Sometimes he stays near Workman Elementary at 5th street waiting for a stop sign or a pedestrian violation… Be careful he really is so sneaky!
Bassettdale Ave. between Don Julian Rd. and Fairplain Ave.
Sheriff periodically uses radar on this 25 mph stretch which contains a school zone. Twenty-Six mph gets a ticket. No excuses excepted.

Del Valle Avenue near Mentz Street
Sheriff’s car is waiting at bottom of the hill at intersection of Del Valle Ave. & Mentz St. Those going north on Del Valle from Temple are going down hill. Therefore, it is almost impossible to keep from going over the posted limit of 25 mph. This is like shooting fish in a barrell.
