Lancaster, California Speed Traps
10th Street near West J-4 Avenue
CHPs on motorcycles wait in multiple places between West Avenue J-2 and West Avenue K on 10th Street West… the speed limit drops to 40mph for a short distance and if you miss it, they will get you! I know of many people ticketed for speeding in this area, mostly before noon–but not all. North or Southbound doesn’t matter.
West J Avenue near Fern Street
Beware of the area around Parkview Middle School. The motorcycle officers are out in force every morning and again when school lets out. Speed limit is 25MPH in the School Zone and they inforce it with radar. They can get you before you see them hiding behind the bushes.
Palmdale BLVD at Sierra HWY N/S to Ave I DRONE
It Seems that they have re-installed the Anoying X-band DRONE radar again. It cover all of Sierra HWY north and south bound lanes. What this does is lock up your radar on x-band while they shoot you with Ka-band. Bamb.. ticket time. For those with no programable radar detectors to block out x-band.. your out of luck!

This area is patrolled by motorcycles and cars. The motorcycles hide in the shade or behind cars. The cars usually hide in shady areas and are difficult to see. This is a fifty mile per hour zone, and they will issue a ticket if the limit is exceeded by a couple of miles per hour.
