Hwy 580 / Coming down the Altamont into Livermore
A police officer will wait near the bottom of the hill with a radar gun. If there is no traffic it can be very easy to go over the speed limit since its down hill. He usually sits there in the afternoon.
Corner of Campus Hill Drive and North Canyons Parkway
Technically this is a "moving violation" trap because a patrol car will park on the hill of Campus Hill Drive and nail motorists who roll through the intersection of North Canyons Parkway. Las Positas College Students get nailed by the dozens. Adding insult to injury is that the intersection is currently unfinished and there is no cross traffic to interfer with the flow of traffic. It doesn’t matter that there’s no reason to stop, the LPD is there to give you a ticket anyway.
