Magdalena Rd. & Hwy 280

Los Altos Hills, CaliforniaNov 05, 20101 Comments

Cops will park somewhere along Magdalena and nail you as you come down the road. They are also overly zealous in enforcing the four way stop sign.
For stop sign they hide next to the freeway along Par.

Arastradero Road at Deer Creek Road intersection

Los Altos Hills, CaliforniaOct 11, 20100 Comments

Sheriff’s patrol car sits on private drive, out of sight, at this 3-way stop sign waiting to give tickets for not making full stop. Since there is very little traffic on Deer Creek Road, especially after business hours, and since it is easy to see that there is no car in sight coming from Deer Creek Road, it is easy to hesitate but not stop at this stop sign. Always be sure to come to a full stop here and then look up the private drive. You will often see a Sheiff’s car there waiting to give you a ticket for anything short of a full stop.

Arastradero Rd. near Page Mill Rd. & Arastradero Rd. Intersection

Los Altos Hills, CaliforniaJan 29, 20100 Comments

Santa Clara Sheriff Dept. parks on the shoulder of Arastradero Rd., up at the top of the hill from the intersection of Arastradero and Page Mill. Can be found on both sides at various times, either aiming the radar at you as you come up the hill from the intersection, or else the other way as you approach the intersection from the Purissima Rd. direction.

Second spot they sometimes park is at the new cul de sac on Arastradero, which is just north of the Interstate 280 overpass.

El Monte/Moody Road near Foothill College

Los Altos Hills, CaliforniaFeb 03, 20080 Comments

Not sure what type of radar they use but 7 times out of 10 they are either parked in front of Foothill College or down the street near St. Nicholas Elementary School. Everyday usually from morning commute to evening commute.
