Lower Lake, California Speed Traps
Highway 29 and Seigler Canyon Rd
Police sit on either side of the road, in large pullouts. The southbound lane is under a tress grove. The north bound lane is wide and they can hug the mountain.
Southbound lane on highway 29 and Jago Bay turn off
The CHP sit just behind the mountain turn. This is in the middle 1 of 3 passing lanes in the county with many slow drivers for the northbound lane, and down a long grade in the southbound lane. So people attempting to pass that 20mph under the speed limit driver (who in 30 yrs I’ve NEVER seen pulled over get ticketed and people going down the grade easily exceeding the speed limit even with cruise control get tickets.
Anywhere in Lower Lake
They OFTEN sit on side roads, or in dark shady areas facing the junction of highway 29 and/or highway 53. BOTH roads have 55 to 45 signs and they frequently get people just before the speed goes up to 55 who speed up a little sooner.
Hwy 29
Just before top of hill north bound side of hwy, chp sits just before top of hill
and points radar at on coming traffic they are very difficult to see as they are in the shade
State Highway 29 near Spruce Grove Road
Early morning sun casts shadow, and CHP stands outside of car with radar in shadow of large oak tree. Opposite side of road right before Jonas oil & gas – Targeting commuters heading north on 29.
