Manhattan Beach, California Speed Traps
In the old Manhattan Heights Library parking lot.
They sit in the driveway across from Polliwog Park. It’s near the end of a long hill so you might be speeding when you get down to them.
Rosecrans (Eastbound) between Bell and Blanche
M/C hiding behind a parked car with radar. When you crest this hill after Tarasco’s, a downhill begins… very easy to let speed increase. Look between the cars parked along Rosecrans.
45 TH STREET/HIGHLAND/VISTA DEL MAR
Beware the ESPD officers park their black and whites in the lanes of the Chevron Station at night.. they radar the vehicles coming southbound on Vista Delmar… 45 mph zone… drops to 30 in Manhattan Beach… also the double whammy is that if a driver has been drinking could lead to a DUI… I live nearby and watch the cars getmany speeders each night…
8th St & N Sepulveda Blvd
A Manhattan Beach police officer likes to sit here for the morning commute. Heading northbound on PCH, there’s a down hill slope for several blocks before 8th street. It’s real easy to exceed the 35MPH speed limit if you’re coasting down the hill. At the bottom of the slope, the officer is hiding on the East side of PCH, in the El Polo Loco parking lot. I’ve seen him there several times, (usually on Thursday mornings), including the day after I saw him in court for my speeding ticket! BurnRubber
301 N Sepulveda Boulevard near Manhattan Beach Boulevard
There is a motorcycle cop who sometimes sits in the Taco Bell parking lot, half hidden behind the FedEx drop boxes.
