Mira Mesa, California Speed Traps
Sorrento Valley Boulevard near Pacific Haven Court
Motorcycle officers stand at street side pointing what appears to be a radar gun at West bound traffic.
Not sure cross street is accurate.
State Highway CA56 near Exit Number 6 Camino de Sur
The SD CHP is enamored of this stretch of road. It’s pretty level, with some gentle curves, so people can really lose track of the speed limit. The motocycle patrol will often hide in the middle median, yes…in the dirt, between some scrub. Additionally, the patrol cars tend to sit on the on-ramps, where they can very quickly enter the highway and get a radar reading on you…you won’t see them until they are behind you as the on-ramps are come from the overhead crossings above.
Carol Canyon Road near Black Mountain Road
One to two cops sit in the apartment complex at the bottom of the hill on the right side. Bikes are parked in the car stalls so that one can’t see. One uses the radar while the other flags and tags. Watch the down hill speed of 40 mph. They get you when your going faster than 40 mph at the bottom.
Flanders Road near Camino Santa Fe Street
Motorcycle cops sit in apartment complex parking lot entrance over the stretch of road that has no houses to the South.
Gold Coast Street near Black Mountain Road
motorcycle police hide in apartment parking lot across from mira mesa police academy, also across from park.
