Modesto, California Speed Traps
Sylvan Av & Roselle Av
This intersection is served by a double-lane roundabout. MPD motors enforce the 15 MPH *cautionary* speed with radar. However, most of the enforcement is concentrated on motorists not understanding/following the *confusing* layout and signage of this roundabout (and similar roundabouts nearby). Normally, you would enter a roundabout from a multi-laned street and signal your intention to exit it. This roundabout, however, forces you to determine your destination before entering it. Because you can use *both* lanes to proceed straight, you’ll have to use the left lane to turn" left (and exit) and the right lane to turn immediately right. U-turns are prohibited although there are no signs explicitly forbidding this."
