Modesto, California Speed Traps
This intersection is served by a double-lane roundabout. MPD motors enforce the 15 MPH *cautionary* speed with radar. However, most of the enforcement is concentrated on motorists not understanding/following the *confusing* layout and signage of this roundabout (and similar roundabouts nearby). Normally, you would enter a roundabout from a multi-laned street and signal your intention to exit it. This roundabout, however, forces you to determine your destination before entering it. Because you can use *both* lanes to proceed straight, you’ll have to use the left lane to turn" left (and exit) and the right lane to turn immediately right. U-turns are prohibited although there are no signs explicitly forbidding this."
most of the time during lunch hour you’ll find 2-3 motorcycle cops patrolling this area just east of prescott at Heritage Dr. or Madison Pointe way typically during mid month or towards the last few days of the month.
Between Rose Ave. and Oakdale Road. Either cruisers or motorcycles. It’s a school zone/residential area. Be vigilant.
Motorcycle cops park and wait for speeders heading south bond into Ceres from Modesto…
Briggsmore and McHenry. ALWAYS a motorcycle cop behind a sign, right after the turn. Sitting there hit’s you as soon as you make the turn!
