Mojave, California Speed Traps

South of Mojave on Highway 14, both north and southbound. The speed limit between the town of Mojave and Silver Queen road is 55 close to town and 65 closer to Silver Queen. The road is 4 lanes. Traffic constanly runs around 70 to 75 though here. CHP constantly give tickets to speeding cars though here. Mojave contains a CHP substation so all the roads around Mojave are moderately patrolled.

Hwy. 58 from Mojave to Barstow posted 55 until Edwards AFB (but everyone goes 65-70) then 65 to San Bernadino Co. Line where it becomes two lanes (55) then four lanes past the 395 junction (65 again) then two lanes (60) and the final stretch s of Barstow to the I-15 (65). Moderate CHP presence on 58-like to hide in medians and at some of the desert side road turnoffs. There are some "Patrolled by Aircraft" signs but I have never seen a plane. Limits make sense on the two lane segments but not on the segment Mojave-Edwards AFB.
